The Headstand is by nature a very meditative pose. Take advantage of this fact while you hold the variations – let the mind become still and one pointed. Leg Raising Variations You must be able to support your own weight without strain if you are to enjoy the more advanced asanas and be able to meditate in them. The leg-raising movements shown here are a means to this higher goal. By learning to support the weight of your legs from a supine position you will develop the strength you need to support and control the entire weight of your body in other poses.
